WhatsApp Officially Launched for the Web
Are you one of the 600 million people on WhatsApp? It seems the day many people have been waiting for is finally here – WhatsApp is now available on your desktop, but only if you’re an Android, Windows Phone or BlackBerry user. iPhone users stay calm.
Previously we have written about How to install WhatsApp for PC using third party application ex: Bluestacks. Now onwards you dont need to install Bluestack and other software.

" Today, For the first time, millions of you will have the ability to use WhatsApp on your web browser. Our web client is simply an extension of your phone: the web browser mirrors conversations and messages from your mobile device - this means all of your messages still live on your phone.
To connect your web browser to your WhatsApp client, simply open https://web.whatsapp.com/ your Google Chrome browser and then follow the steps given below:
Steps to Follow
>> You will see a QR code, scan the code inside of WhatsApp.
>> And now you’re ready to go.
>> You have now paired WhatsApp on your phone with the WhatsApp web client.
NOTE : Your phone needs to stay connected to the internet for our web client to work, and please make sure to install the latest version of WhatsApp on your phone. Unfortunately for now,
WhatsApp will not be able to provide web client to our iOS users due to Apple platform limitations.
This is not a standalone service, the web client mirrors from the WhatsApp app on your smartphone.

As of Jan 2015 WhatsApp has crossed 700 million active users worldwide. This milestone announcement comes about 11 months after Facebook acquired the messaging app for whooping $19 Billion($16 billion in cash and $ 3 billion was in stock options ). By the end of year the apps aims to reach 1 billion monthly active users. Every day users send over 30 billion messages. (YourStory)
Awesome sync between phone and website
In 2014 half WhatsApp had a loss of approximately $230 million, and generated revenue of about $15 million. Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg is not keen on monetizing WhatsApp before it reaches a billion active users.
